Ascend Rehabilitation Selected to Support Episcopal Homes Therapy Programs
Ascend Rehabilitation, a division of Saint Therese, has been selected by Episcopal Homes of Minnesota to provide consulting and oversight for its rehabilitation programs at two St. Paul locations. The partnership began in September.
As senior living organizations face increasingly complex critical, regulatory and financial demands, Ascend Rehab is expanding its services to offer Minnesota providers a locally based option for rehabilitation management consulting.
While national consulting organizations serve the senior living industry, Ascend sees distinct value in having experienced rehabilitation leadership close to home. Its Minnesota-based team provides direct access to clinical expertise, regular on-site collaboration, and firsthand understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing senior care providers across the state.
“Senior living organizations have many choices when selecting a rehabilitation management partner, including large national consulting groups,” said Amy Taylor-Greengard, executive vice president of rehab. “We value the opportunity to partner with fellow Minnesota organizations like Episcopal Homes. Being locally based helps us build strong relationships, be present when challenges arise and provide responsive, hands-on support tailored to each community. There is real value in Minnesota organizations supporting one another.”
Under the agreement, Episcopal Homes continues to employ its therapists and provide patient care, while Ascend offers clinical consultation, operational analysis and ongoing reporting to support program performance, patient outcomes, financial sustainability and regulatory compliance.
“Behind every therapy report is a person working to walk safely, regain strength or return to something they love,” said Taylor-Greengard. “Our role is to help Episcopal Homes’ therapy team connect that day-to-day work with the information and support needed to meet their operational goals.”
Episcopal Homes of Minnesota is a St. Paul-based nonprofit senior living and care organization dedicated to enriching life and building community with older adults. Its services include independent living, assisted living, memory care, transitional care, and skilled nursing.
“We wanted more than reports and recommendations. We wanted a partner who would show up, know our therapists and work through challenges with us,” said Molly Sorenson, director of therapy at Episcopal Homes of Minnesota. “Having that expertise close to home was a big part of what drew us to Ascend.”
The collaboration reflects Ascend Rehabilitation’s commitment to strengthening rehabilitation services across Minnesota through clinical expertise, operational accountability, and the accessibility of a local partner.
