Assisted Living Directors Serving Small Communities – the U of M Wants to Hear From You
A research team from the University of Minnesota is conducting interviews to learn more about the experiences of assisted living directors serving small communities with many residents of color. We are specifically interested in understanding experiences with the new assisted living laws. We intend to use this information in a report to the state.
The team invites you to participate in a 30-45 minute Zoom interview. They will ask about your experiences in the licensure process, survey process, and recommendations you might have to move forward.
Interviews are being conducted until June 15.
Here is more information about how these studies will be conducted:
- All identifying information (your name, name of your assisted living home, etc.) will not be shared publicly.
- Interviews will be conducted over Zoom, taking approximately 30-45 minutes.
- You will be compensated with a $50 e-gift card after the interview.
- You are eligible to participate if you are a Licensed Assisted Living Director (LALD) that leads a small assisted living home with a majority of residents of color.
The research team includes respected and familiar names in the field, including:
- Megan Hakanson, Undergraduate Research Assistant
- Rajean P. Moone, Ph.D.
- Tetyana Shippee, Ph.D.
If you are interested in participating in an interview, please email hakan028@umn.edu, and we will work with you to find a time that fits your schedule.
