By Dan Nelson

This election season, LeadingAge Minnesota members around the state are hosting candidate forums to provide a platform for local candidates to discuss issues affecting older adults and Minnesota’s aging services sector.

We are excited to announce that our second of these forums will be taking place next week.

Benedictine Living Community – Winona, in partnership with LeadingAge Minnesota, will be hosting a forum on Wednesday, September 4 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Carol Ehlinger, Executive Director for Benedictine Living Community – Winona, has done fantastic work to organize her team and residents to host the forum.

Candidates to Discuss Issues Affecting Older Adults

This event will feature candidates running for open seats in the Minnesota House of Representatives. We will host candidates seeking to represent Districts 26A and 26B. Three candidates have agreed to participate: Aaron Repinski (R – 26A), Sarah Kruger (D – 26A), and Allie Wolf (D – 26A).

The event will be moderated by Carol Ehlinger. Each candidate will have the opportunity to share how they would prioritize older adults and the issues that matter to the aging services sector. Local community members are welcome to join us for the event.

We are excited and grateful to partner with Carol and the rest of the Benedictine team to put on this event.
