HUD Service Coordinator NOFO Webinars
On Dec. 13, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced new funding for Service Coordination grants in affordable senior housing.
Service coordinators offer critical support to older adults with low incomes as they age in the community, including by referring HUD-assisted residents to health and educational resources.
The Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) posted by HUD will fund approximately 160 Service Coordination programs across the country. LeadingAge was instrumental in securing the funds for additional and expanded Service Coordination programs.
To learn more, join LeadingAge’s workshop mini-series for help navigating the application process. This session is free and exclusively for LeadingAge members. The webinar will cover the application requirements, HUD’s selection process, and walk through examples. Register here for the Feb. 8, 11:30 p.m. CT call.
The recording and materials from the first LeadingAge call on the Service Coordinator NOFO on Jan. 11 will be made available soon.
Additionally, HUD will hold a Service Coordinator NOFO Webinar on Feb. 6 at 1 p.m. CT. The funding application deadline is March 14. LeadingAge is also working with HUD to develop an FAQ document for stakeholders. More info here.
