Legacy Licensed Assisted Living Director Application Slated for April
Last week, the Board of Executives for Long Term Services and Supports (BELTSS) updated the projected time frame for licensed assisted living director (LALD) applications to be available. We now anticipate that the applications will be available in April for those eligible as legacy directors.
Assisted living licensure, effective Aug. 1, requires all assisted living settings to have an LALD as a condition of licensure. Minnesota Statutes direct five legacy pathways for current practitioners, who must apply by June 30. You can find your path to legacy licensure and explore the requirements for each.
If you don’t quality for legacy licensure, be assured LeadingAge Minnesota will the resources you need to become an LALD.
The LALD rules, not yet finalized, must be completed prior to issuance of the application. A formal announcement will be made available by BELTSS, when online applications have been opened for individuals qualifying for legacy licensure.
