MDH Requests Member Feedback on Collaborative Safety Program For 2024
The Health Regulation Division (HRD) at the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) would like member feedback on collaborative safety topics for 2024.
The survey takes three minutes to complete and will help inform this initiative. The deadline is Jan. 19.
MDH collaborative safety initiative
As a result of feedback from several sources, including LeadingAge Minnesota, MDH started a collaborative safety project to create a safety culture through collaboration with healthcare organizations. This system is based on safe discussions without negative consequences for the providers, focusing on systems and not individuals to blame.
Information about the collaborative safety review model
Collaborative Safety, LLC is the company MDH works with to facilitate mapping sessions. Mapping sessions seek to understand complex systems by identifying what influences the decision-making process.
Member-informed project choices
For 2024 collaborative safety projects, MDH is seeking:
- Topic ideas relevant to members
- Interested members to participate in systemic mapping sessions, including one-on-one interviews and larger group structured system mapping meetings.
Please take a moment to complete the three-minute survey by Jan. 19. For more information, contact Tonya Kjerland at tonya.connor@state.mn.us or Catherine Lloyd at Catherine.lloyd@state.mn.us.
