Share Your Expertise: Help Shape Health Care Competencies for Minnesota’s Dual-Training Pipeline Program
The Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) is seeking feedback from industry experts on proposed health care occupations being considered for inclusion in the Minnesota Dual-Training Pipeline program. Three of these occupations are particularly relevant to aging services providers: nursing home administrator, dietitian and speech-language pathologist. Deadline to submit feedback is October 30, 2026.
The Dual-Training Pipeline program supports employers in developing their workforce through structured on-the-job training paired with related instruction. Adding new occupations could create additional opportunities for employers to strengthen career pathways and develop skilled professionals.
DLI has developed draft competency models outlining the knowledge and skills needed for each proposed occupation. Professionals with experience in these roles are encouraged to review the models and provide feedback to ensure they reflect real-world workforce needs.
