Social Connections Grant Applications for Assisted Living and Home Care Providers Coming Soon

A Social Connections Grant application was reviewed at this week's Home Care and Assisted Living Advisory Council, a regular meeting conducted by the Minnesota Department of Health. Final touches are being made to the application, which will be issued in the coming weeks.

The intent of the grants, as the name states, is to support residents' social connectedness, which may include devices such as iPads or voice amplifiers, wi-fi improvements, or training to use devices. Grants will be considered up to $5000 per applicant, with a total of $250,000 of grant dollars to be distributed.

Dollars for the grants are derived from fines issued to Home Care and Assisted Living licensees. Gather your ideas for your grant application and stay tuned for the issuance of the grant applications.
