New: Nursing Home Infection Control Survey Tool and Checklist

As we shared in last week’s newsletter, CMS has changed the COVID-19 Focused Survey for Nursing Homes tool to include the new testing requirements
, questions about the facility Infection Preventionist, as well as other issues such as efforts to remind residents to perform hand hygiene.
To support survey preparation, LeadingAge national has updated its COVID-19 Infection Control Survey Tool and Checklist to reflect these changes. It tracks the CMS COVID-19 Focused Survey for Nursing Homes tool, and highlights factors facilities can consider when demonstrating compliance.
