The Board of Executives for Long-Term Services and Support (BELTSS) has announced the opening of Assisted Living Director licensing renewals for the months of September and October 2023. All licensees must renew their licenses.

Renewal details

No continuing education credits (CEs) are due for this year’s renewal. The price for license renewal for ALDs is $125. For those with shared licenses serving as the Director of Record for more than one facility, the fee is an additional $125 per license (facility).

About CEs

While no CEs are due with the 2023 renewal, it is not too soon to prepare for your 2024 renewal, when 30 CEs will be required for many licensees.

• 30 CEs will be due in Sept. 2024 for those licensed before Oct. 31, 2022.
• For those licensed between Nov. 1, 2022, and Oct. 31, 2023, 15 CEs will be due for the 2024 renewal.

Upcoming Assisted Living Conference

Ten CEs can be earned at the upcoming LeadingAge Minnesota Assisted Living Conference on Aug. 16 and 17 at the Brooklyn Center Heritage Center. Join us for two days of professional development designed specifically for those who work in assisted living settings.

Renewing online

To begin your license renewal in September, log on to the BELTSS Online Portal.  Update your Director of Record, address, email, and any other changes that may have occurred and complete the renewal process. Renew no later than Oct. 31, 2023.
