Care Centers: Give Notice of Upcoming Rate Increase to Private Pay Residents

As part of a care center financial relief package approved at the end of the legislative session, a Value-Based Reimbursement (VBR) rate add-on of $12.35 per resident day was enacted. This rate add-on is effective starting July 1, 2023, and ends on Dec. 31, 2024. The rate add-on is not restricted to any particular use, so it will allow providers to address some of the impacts that inflation has had in various areas over the last couple of years.
