Deadline Approaching: Submit Quality Improvement Incentive Payment (QIIP) Choices for the 1/1/2026 Rate Year to DHS by July 1

Nursing homes participate annually in QIIP by selecting a quality measure to improve during the year that starts on July 1.

DHS calculates and awards a QIIP rate adjustment of up to $3.50 per resident day to each nursing home, depending on how much the nursing home improves compared to its baseline. QIIP payments continue for one year beginning each January 1, and there is no financial penalty if nursing homes do not improve on their chosen measure.

To participate, visit the DHS NF Provider Portal and click the QIIP tab.
