DHS to Host Webinar on Required PDPM Reporting for Nursing Homes
The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) continues to plan a transition from the state’s current case mix system for nursing home payment, RUG-IV, to the Patient-Driven Payment Model (PDPM), on October 1, 2025.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will no longer support RUG-IV after October 1, 2025, which necessitates a change to the state case mix system.
Report due to DHS by June 4, 2024
To perform an analysis of the impact of changing the case mix system, DHS needs the ability to compare RUG-IV case mix to PDPM case mix for the 2023 cost report year. As a result, DHS is requiring all nursing homes to submit a report of PDPM days by payor for the year ending 9/30/2023 by June 4, 2024.
Instructional webinar on May 21, 2024
DHS will host a one-hour webinar on Tuesday, May 21 at 10:00 a.m. to explain to nursing homes how to complete the PDPM report. It is particularly important that whoever is going to gather and submit the PDPM resident days data participate in this webinar. Members can use the below information to join the webinar-
