Mitch Boser, Environmental Services Director at Elim Care & Rehab Center in Princeton, recently received the Make Zero Harm Possible Award from LeadingAge Minnesota.

The award recognizes staff in aging services settings who demonstrate their commitment to safe, quality care and to treating the people they serve with respect and dignity – always.

“Mitch Boser is a champion for safe, quality care. He sees safety as a core value and goes above and beyond in his daily work to ensure a safe environment for all who live and work at Elim Care & Rehab Center,” said Gayle Kvenvold, President and CEO, LeadingAge Minnesota.

Boser has served as Environmental Services Director at Elim Care & Rehab Center for nearly a year. In that time, he has identified and resolved safety issues, served as a mentor for his fellow team members and developed a great rapport with residents.

“Mitch is helping to create a culture change at Elim Care & Rehab to make zero harm possible. He is a keen observer, takes the time to talk with staff and residents, and is quick to respond to potential safety issues. We are grateful to have Mitch on our team and share our appreciation for his leadership and commitment to respect, dignity and safe, quality care,” said Stacy Nolting, Social Services Director, Elim Care & Rehab Center.

The Make Zero Harm Possible award is part of LeadingAge Minnesota’s Safe Care for Seniors initiative. A comprehensive safety and quality improvement program, Safe Care for Seniors is designed to strengthen the culture of safety, prevent the risk of harm before it occurs, and uncover new opportunities for learning and improvement in the delivery of care and services.
