Now Open! 2024 Rate Year QIIP Selection Process for Care Centers

The annual selection process for the Quality Improvement Incentive Payment (QIIP) program is now open. In the QIPP program, care centers participating in Medicaid are eligible for a rate increase of up to $3.50 per resident day based on their performance improvement on a single quality measure.

To select a quality measure and improvement level your facility would need to achieve to get the full payment, providers should go to the QIIP section of the Department of Human Services (DHS) Provider Portal.

Selections need to be made by Oct. 1 of this year, and the measurement period runs from this Oct. 1 through next Sept. 30.

DHS has also provided instructions for making a QIIP selection which provides more detailed guidance on the various quality measures that providers might choose for the year
