Assistant Majority Leader Karin Housley (R – St. Mary’s Point), Chair of the Minnesota Senate Aging and Long-Term Care Policy Committee, and Sen. Kent Eken (DFL – Twin Valley), the committee’s ranking minority member, will join LeadingAge Minnesota members for a bipartisan discussion about long-term care issues at this year’s LeadingAge Minnesota Week at the Capitol.

We invite you to join the conversation with Sens. Housley and Eken on Tuesday, March 16 at 9 – 10 a.m. and make your voice heard.

This year, in lieu of our traditional Day at the Capitol, we have spread the advocacy content you expect over a week and made the event virtual. From wherever you are joining us, you will get comprehensive advocacy training, connect with your peers and advocate for older adults and their caregivers.

We've got a week of activities planned to help you share your story with the lawmakers who represent you. Here's what you can expect:

Register by March 6 so we can secure a meeting with your lawmakers.

On the fence about whether you should attend? Don’t be – your voice matters and can make a big impact at the Capitol. We will equip you with all the tools you need to be effective in sharing what matters most to you and those you serve. If you have questions about the Week at the Capitol or need any special accommodations, please contact Matt Steele at msteele@leadingagemn.org or 651-659-1430.
