Political Action Committee

We support champions for older adult services.

Lawmakers make decisions that impact our ability to serve seniors and their families daily. Our PAC helps us meet with elected officials face-to-face and explain the needs of aging services providers.

About the LeadingAge Minnesota PAC

What is the LeadingAge Minnesota PAC?

The LeadingAge Minnesota PAC is a non-partisan fund that helps LeadingAge Minnesota members support candidates who are champions for aging services. Individuals give money to the fund, which is then distributed to state-level lawmakers who support our goals of ensuring access to safe, quality care for seniors.

Why do we need a PAC?

The PAC is another way we can educate lawmakers about the needs of the aging services sector and the seniors we serve. It allows us the opportunity to participate in the political process and establish relationships with lawmakers that will ensure aging services professionals can provide quality care for years to come.

Besides supporting the sector, why should I contribute?

The LeadingAge Minnesota PAC is a powerful tool for aging services professionals, but ensuring a bright future for our sector is not the only reason to join. If you contribute at $100 or more, you'll enter the LeadingAge Minnesota PAC Donor's Circle and receive recognition at events throughout the year.

How much should I give to the PAC?

There is no maximum limit on individual contributions to a political action committee, but we encourage you to make a contribution that's meaningful to you. To be part of the Donor's Circle, we encourage you to give at least $100.

Anonymous donations may not exceed $20.00. Any individual contribution exceeding $20.00 must be recorded with the individual’s full name, address, amount donated and the date the contribution was received. Contributions over $200 must include the individual’s full name, address, employer, amount donated, and the date the contribution was received and will be publically listed in the PAC's campaign finance report. For more information about the rules that govern the PAC, you can review the guidelines for PAC donations and fundraising.

How do I contribute?

You can donate to the PAC online, or mail a check to Kayla Khang, LeadingAge MN PAC, 3001 Broadway Street NE, Suite 300, Minneapolis, MN 55413. Political action committees are prohibited by state law from accepting contributions from corporations. As a result, all contributions must come from individuals, not corporations.
