Knowledge Center
The Knowledge Center is a dynamic and interactive service that harnesses data and information from multiple sources in ways that inform business strategy for members and influence public policy decisions.
The Knowledge Center synthesizes available data to propose adaptive strategies and identify promising practices that members can use to position their organizations to meet the needs of future consumers.
Member Resources
Members can come to the Knowledge Center to access the LeadingAge Minnesota environmental scan – a comprehensive tool that outlines data and trends in older adult services. This tool is of particular value to trustees and managers and they look at plans for the future.
Future Scenarios
The Knowledge Center will use the trend information from the environmental scan to develop a series of future scenarios about how older adult services will be provided in Minnesota in the future.
The future scenarios will look at how providers may change their offerings to address the changing needs and preferences of older adults, while factoring in key demographic and technology trends. Differences between regions of the state will be considered so that the future scenarios are not a “one size fits all” solution, but instead they will each address the specific circumstances encountered in various areas.
While not offering a roadmap for every provider, the future scenarios will help illustrate the ways in which services are changing and what providers may need to do to be prepared for the future of older adult services.
Current Surveys/Results
The Knowledge Center also provides a central location to participate in LeadingAge Minnesota and Long-Term Care Imperative surveys, to view the findings of those surveys, and to access other research reports related to older adult services.
