Emergency Preparedness for Nursing Homes and Assisted Living

LeadingAge Minnesota’s Emergency Preparedness Webinar Series is a four-part educational program designed to help assisted living and nursing home providers build and strengthen compliant, real-world emergency preparedness programs. Each session focuses on key components of CMS Appendix Z requirements—from understanding regulatory expectations and completing a hazard vulnerability analysis to developing policies, training staff, and conducting effective exercises. Designed for all experience levels, the series offers practical guidance, tools, and strategies that translate regulatory requirements into actionable steps, helping organizations move beyond written plans toward true readiness and survey success.
