Immigration Worksite Enforcement Webinar

Original recording date: Thursday, July 24, 2025

PURPOSE

Immigration policy has significant implications for the health care system and long-term care organizations, influencing patient access to care, the composition of the health care workforce, and the operational dynamics of health care facilities. This webinar will explore how federal and state immigration policies shape health care access for immigrant populations, impact workforce shortages and recruitment efforts, and affect the day-to-day operations of health care organizations. The speaker will discuss policy trends, challenges, and opportunities for health care leaders to navigate this evolving landscape while ensuring equitable care delivery and workforce sustainability.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

•Review the various types of immigration enforcement actions and learn their rights and obligations as employers, employees, and individuals in responding to these actions.

•Understand how to proactively prepare for government worksite enforcement actions (ICE, USCIS, FDNS, DOJ, DOL, etc.), including trainings, policies, and internal I-9 audits.

•Assess strategies and options for responding to government worksite enforcement activity, including analysis of administrative and judicial subpoenas and warrants, legal requirements, and best practices.

PRESENTER(S)

Matthew Webster, Senior Immigration Attorney, Fredrikson, Minneapolis
