Navigating the Care Center Moratorium Exceptions Process

PURPOSE

Moratorium Exceptions Application Materials have been published by the Minnesota Department of Health and interested care centers should prepare now to submit all the required application materials by the December deadline. This webinar will help care center staff evaluate whether to apply for a moratorium exception, provide an understanding of the various options for implementing property projects, and the potential rate impacts of those options.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

•Describe the approval criteria and types of projects that can be submitted, and overall application timeline.
•Discuss the required application information including cost estimates, architectural plans, and outline specifications, needs assessment, service area, and more.
•Understand how the approved project might impact your reimbursement rate.
