This map is also a tool for long-term care employers to deepen relationships with local support networks, grow workforce pipelines, and ensure current staff have access to the community, cultural, and legal resources they need to thrive.

Nearly 1 in 3 healthcare workers in Minnesota are an immigrant, and New Americans play a vital and growing role in long-term care. For decades, long-term care providers have benefited first-hand from the power of these contributions—the dedication, resilience, and cultural richness that New Americans bring to our communities. Our field has a legacy of welcoming and supporting New Americans, rooted in shared values of hard work, service, and multigenerational care.
