Membership Services

LeadingAge Minnesota members have access to the best advocacy, training, networking, support and information available.

Advocacy

A core function of LeadingAge Minnesota is representing our members on issues of state and national importance through a team of lobbyists and experts in legislation, regulation, senior housing, and data analysis.

Our expert Public Affairs team is guided by the core values of LeadingAge Minnesota, with an emphasis on the ability of older adults to live as they choose; a solid workforce to support older adult services; ethical conduct; prudent stewardship of resources, accountability and investment in our communities; innovation and collaboration.

To maximize our public affairs strategies, LeadingAge Minnesota collaborates with Care Providers of Minnesota and with that association has formed the Long-Term Care Imperative. LeadingAge Minnesota members play a vital role in advocacy through a powerful grassroots network.

Media and Crisis Communications Support

LeadingAge Minnesota members face a wide range of challenges and opportunities when it comes to working with the media. Our expert staff is available to assist members in three key areas: preparing for negative media exposure when a sensitive issue, crisis or emergency occurs; training key leaders and spokespeople who interact with media and the public; and helping our member organizations think about their public relations and social media activities.

Alliance Purchasing and Value First are non-exclusive GPOs available free to LeadingAge Minnesota members. There are no participation costs or mandatory commitment levels.  A portion of every purchase through these organizations returns to LeadingAge Minnesota as a source of non-dues revenue.
