Governance

LeadingAge Minnesota has an inclusive, member-driven governance model grounded in the bylaws established at the founding of the Association and carried forward each day by member leadership engaged in the Board of Directors, Committees and District Meetings.

Board of Directors

Our Board of Directors is composed of members elected to jointly set our strategic direction. Duties of these voluntary board members include:

  • governing the organization by establishing policies and objectives;
  • selecting, supporting and reviewing the performance of the CEO;
  • approving annual budgets and ensuring adequate financial resources; and
  • accounting to the membership for the organization's performance.
Committees

Our Committees inform the work of our strategic priorities and offer members opportunities to shapeour work n their areas of interest and expertise.

District Meetings

Through quarterly District Meetings, we connect to local issues facing members. We divide the state into seven geographic regions, and members from each District elect a Director to serve as representative on the Board of Directors.
