Important Notice: List and Hotel Room Solicitation Scams
Posted on December 11, 2025 by LeadingAge Minnesota
Large events that include exhibitors and overnight accommodations can unfortunately attract fraudulent activity, including unauthorized list selling and hotel room solicitations. We encourage you to exercise caution when responding to unsolicited emails or phone calls.
Please note:
- LeadingAge Minnesota does not sell member or attendee lists. Exhibitors receive pre- and post-event attendee lists as part of their exhibitor package. Business Partners receive quarterly member lists as a benefit of their membership.
- LeadingAge Minnesota will not contact you to book hotel rooms. We do not contract with any third-party housing companies or booking agents to sell or reserve rooms on our behalf. To secure lodging for any LeadingAge Minnesota event, please contact the hotel directly using the information provided in the event brochure or on our official materials.
If you receive any suspicious emails or calls regarding attendee lists or hotel reservations, please report them to Jenny Prosser, jprosser@leadingagemn.org. Your reports help us take appropriate action, including issuing cease-and-desist notices when warranted. Thank you for helping protect the integrity of our events.
