A Grateful Farewell: Bobbie Guidry to Retire After a Decade with LeadingAge Minnesota
Posted on October 9, 2025 by Erin Huppert
It is with deep gratitude and a touch of sadness that I (Erin Huppert, VP of Advocacy) share with the LeadingAge Minnesota community that Bobbie Guidry, Vice President of Assisted Living & Adult Day Services, will retire in January 2026.
A Career Devoted to Serving Older Adults
For the past 10 years, Bobbie has been an integral part of our association, and her 40+ year career has been devoted to serving older adults. She has worked across multiple member communities as a social worker, housing with services leader, and nursing home administrator. Throughout, she has been widely admired for her unwavering kindness and remains deeply respected for her steadfast commitment to ensuring older adults are served with dignity.
As a valued member of the Public Affairs team, I have relied heavily on her expertise navigating Minnesota’s complex regulations and laws affecting long-term care services and supports. Her thoughtful leadership and genuine compassion have left an indelible mark on our members, staff, and the field of aging services.
Finding LAMN’s Next Director of Assisted Living
With her upcoming retirement, we are launching a search for our next Director of Assisted Living. This role will be responsible for:
- Providing technical assistance, resource development, and education to members on operational issues related to assisted living services.
- Serving as the Association’s policy expert on matters pertaining to licensed assisted living.
- Representing member interests with state agencies, consumers, and other key stakeholders.
You can learn more about the position and application details here.
In addition to this role, we will identify a support plan for our Adult Day & Home Care members. As we prepare for this important transition, please join me in recognizing Bobbie for her tremendous contributions to our field — and in celebrating her as she embarks on this next chapter.
