Adult Day Services: Revalidation Is Underway
Posted on February 5, 2026 by Kelly Conrad
Adult Day Services providers have an important revalidation step to complete in 2026. Last month, high-risk providers, including Adult Day Services, were informed they must complete an off-cycle revalidation by May 31, 2026.
Last week, Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP) issued revalidation instructions through each provider’s MN-ITS “PRVLTR” mailbox. Providers without an active MN-ITS mailbox will receive their notification by mail.
How to Complete Revalidation
MHCP strongly encourages providers to complete revalidation through the Minnesota Provider Screening and Enrollment (MPSE) portal. Using MPSE allows providers to submit required materials electronically and track the status of their revalidation throughout the process.
Application Fee Required
All providers completing off-cycle revalidation are required to submit an application fee. As of January 1, 2026, the fee is $750 per practice location. Please note that MHCP cannot process a revalidation application until the fee has been received.
Screening and Site Visit
Revalidation includes fingerprint-based criminal background studies for all direct and indirect owners. Once the review is complete, MHCP will conduct an unannounced, on-site visit as the final step in the process.
Revalidation is not considered complete until the provider receives a formal “Revalidation Complete” letter from MHCP.
