Advance Caregivers with New Gerontology and Aging Care Program

Posted on October 14, 2021 by Jenna Kellerman

Looking for a way to grow caregivers within your organization or help staff advance in their career path? Northwest Technical College is offering an online course to advance the specialty of caregivers in aging services.

The Gerontology and Aging Care program is a two-semester online course that is appropriate for any staff member. Caregivers, culinary staff, housekeeping, administration, and other team members can benefit from specializing in gerontology. Enrollment opens tomorrow!

The Gerontology program teaches the science of studying people as they age and the health and wellness issues associated with aging, alongside the knowledge and skills necessary to provide seamless, high-quality service to this aging population and their families. Graduates complete 18-credits to gain their certificate. The cost is $3,700.

Learn more at the Northwest Technical College website. Contact Alicia Carley, Health Sciences and Biology Faculty, at alicia.carley@ntcmn.edu.
