Will you stand up for housing funding for older adults? Congress is negotiating the differences between House and Senate versions of the fiscal year 2019 HUD appropriations bill that will determine how much funding will be available next year for affordable housing. 

Representatives and senators need to hear from you now on the need to expand and fully preserve affordable housing for older adults.

I urge them to expand funding for programs that help provide affordable housing options for seniors, including the new Section 202 Housing for the Elderly homes. Their support to fully fund the preservation of HUD-assisted Section 8 and Project Rental Assistance Contracts will help seniors remain in their homes while expanded funding for services coordinators who help seniors can get connected to the services they need to age well and live fully. I also urge them to reject any effort on rent reform proposals that could harm older adults.
