The LeadingAge Minnesota Foundation is proud to celebrate national recognition for its “New Americans in Long-Term Care” recruitment and retention video series, which recently earned a Bronze Telly Award in the Non-Broadcast: Not-for-Profit category.
The Telly Awards honor excellence in video and television across all screens and are widely regarded as one of the industry’s premier recognitions for creative storytelling.
The award-winning video series was developed to highlight the important contributions of New Americans working in our field and to encourage more individuals from diverse backgrounds to explore meaningful careers in aging services. Additionally, the video series aims to counter common misconceptions about aging services, both from the lens of older adults themselves, as well as the people who provide them with care.
Through authentic storytelling and personal experiences, the project showcases the compassion, dedication, and cultural richness New Americans bring to Minnesota’s long-term care communities every day.
The LeadingAge Minnesota Foundation partnered with Captivate Media + Consulting to bring these stories to life, with the shared goal of addressing workforce challenges while elevating the voices of caregivers whose journeys often go unheard. We are deeply grateful to Captivate for their creative work to take an idea and bring it to reality.
You can view the entire video series here, which has garnered over 1.1 million views to date.
