Coming this Summer: Follow Your Heart to a Caring Career

Posted on April 27, 2023 by Anna Mowry

This summer, CareerForce Minnesota is launching “Follow Your Heart to a Caring Career,” – A statewide campaign to promote caregiving careers in serving seniors and people with disabilities.

About the summer campaign

State, regional, and local workforce development professionals want to help home-, community-and facility-based care providers attract and retain the workforce needed to provide care to older adults and people with disabilities in Minnesota.

The “Follow Your Heart to a Caring Career” campaign will launch in June 2023 with paid advertising focused on specific audiences, complemented by earned media, organic social, GovDelivery emails, and more. This campaign is hosted by CareerForce Minnesota and the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED).

Opportunities for employers to get involved

Attend an employer information session on Thursday, May 11, at 2 p.m. to learn more about the campaign, the events planned for job seekers, and how employers can get involved. Register to receive the Webex Meeting link.

Employers are encouraged to use campaign materials, host events, and more over the coming months. Start planning now. Find more resources and ideas on the employer page.

  • Host a job fair, open house, or other event and promote it statewide on the calendar of events at no cost.
  • Customize and share job seeker outreach templates and materials in multiple languages.
  • Download an informational handout for employers with more ideas on how to get involved.
  • Stay tuned! More resources for employers will be available in mid-May.
