Connect, Create, Contribute: May is Older Americans Month

Posted on April 10, 2019 by Bobbie Guidry

The Administration for Community Living leads our nation’s observance of Older Americans Month each May. The 2019 theme, Connect, Create, Contribute, encourages older adults and their communities to:

Connect with friends, family, and services that support participation.

Create by engaging in activities that promote learning, health, and personal enrichment.

Contribute time, talent, and life experience to benefit others.

OAM Resources & Activities

As you plan your celebrations and other activities for May, check out OAM Resources and OAM Activity Ideas for suggestions -- from exploring the arts and planning game nights to finding volunteer events and hosting a workshop.

Great for Events: Button & Banner Artwork

The button artwork is formatted for a 1.75” round lapel button and the banner artwork is formatted for a 3’x4’ sign or hanging banner. Both are scalable to any size without losing quality.

Promote OAM: Web Ads/Badges

Use these square and leaderboard-style web badges to advertise #OAM19 on your website or elsewhere online. We suggest clickable images leading to the OAM website.
