Dec. 9-10 Maltreatment Management Workshop: From Reporting to Resolution
Posted on October 15, 2026 by Sharon Hollister
Effective maltreatment management requires more than knowing the regulations. It takes sound judgment, thorough documentation, and a coordinated response from the entire team.
LeadingAge Minnesota’s Maltreatment Management Workshop, Dec. 9–10 in St. Paul, offers clinical and organizational leaders hands-on practice navigating the reporting and investigation process, from the initial concern through final documentation and follow-up.
Through interactive case studies, mock interviews, and small-group exercises, participants will practice determining when a report is required, conducting investigations, documenting findings, and developing individualized abuse prevention plans. The workshop also addresses survey expectations, maltreatment policies, resident safety, and crisis communications.
Designed for directors of nursing, nurse managers, administrators, social workers and other leadership team members, this workshop is eligible for 9 clock hours and provides practical tools participants can apply in their own organizations.
