Dec. 6 Quality Conference: Take a Proactive Approach to Preventing Maltreatment

Posted on November 7, 2018 by Heidi Simpson

The Dec. 6 Quality Conference will feature a full day of sessions devoted to help organizations improve quality. Learn how to instill a culture of safety in your organization that helps prevent abuse, neglect and exploitation of the people you serve.

Catherin Hinz, Interim Executive Director of the Minnesota Alliance for Patient Safety and Julie Apold, LeadingAge Minnesota Vice President of Quality and Performance Excellence, will lead an educational session to help define the differences between human error, at-risk behavior and reckless behavior as factors that cause abuse and what you can do to address each type more effectively.

You will also explore case studies of events reported and substantiated under the Vulnerable Adults Act and get actionable strategies to assess risk and prevent these types of events from occurring in your setting.

The Quality Conference delivers a full day of high level topics and discussions on improving performance and quality outcomes in your organization. Early Bird Registration Rate ends November 15 for $25 off the regular registration rate. Find complete details and register here.
