DEED Employer Resources and Webinar – Get Help Recruiting the Talent You Need

Posted on August 31, 2023 by Anna Mowry

On Thursday, Sept. 14, employers are invited to learn more about “Follow Your Heart to a Caring Career” – a campaign launched by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) aimed at helping providers attract, hire, and retain the workforce needed to care for the older adults and people with disabilities in Minnesota.

Employer webinar details

The “Follow Your Heart to a Caring Career” resources are brought to you by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED), Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS), and workforce development professionals statewide. Attend this upcoming webinar to learn more about the campaign and the available employer resources and hear how fellow employers leverage the campaign to recruit the needed workers.

Click here to join the meeting on Thursday, Sept. 14, from 2-3 p.m.

  • Meeting number (access code): 2501 427 4501
  • Meeting password: 8DNmF5kGMU6

How to engage today

As an employer, you have access to DEED resources to help connect with job seekers and leverage the awareness raised by the “Follow Your Heart to a Caring Career” campaign. Start engaging today by:

  • Promoting your hiring events statewide – Add your upcoming events, job fairs, and no-appointment-needed interview opportunities to DEED’s job fair calendar.
  • Connecting with local CareerForce staff – Reach out to CareerForce staff at a location near you to share information about your open positions and find out how you could partner on career exploration, hiring events, and more.
  • Engaging online with #CaringCareerMN – Use the hashtag #CaringCareerMN when posting so CareerForce, DEED, and others can help amplify your message to job seekers.
  • Accessing employer resources – Download occupational handouts in multiple languages to use with prospective employees, share career pathways infographics, and explore more resources for employers.
