DHS Seeking Provider Feedback on Immigration Enforcement Activity
Posted on May 28, 2026 by Kelly Conrad
DHS’s Office of the Medicaid Medical Director is asking Minnesota Health Care Programs providers to share their experiences related to heightened federal immigration enforcement activity that occurred between December 2025 and February 2026.
DHS is conducting the survey in partnership with the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical School to better understand how this period affected providers, care teams and the Minnesotans they serve. Feedback from health care professionals will help DHS learn more about how immigration enforcement activity may have influenced access to care, care coordination, patient trust and provider operations.
The survey is intended for providers and care team members who work directly with Minnesota Health Care Programs patients, including:
- Clinicians
- Nurses
- Advanced practice providers
- Care coordinators
- Community health workers
- Others involved in direct care or care coordination
The survey includes 20 questions and should take approximately 15 to 20 minutes to complete. Responses are anonymous, and DHS will not collect personally identifying information.
Providers are encouraged to review the DHS flyer for more information and complete the survey by June 26, 2026.
Questions may be directed to the OMMD research team at OMMD.DHS@state.mn.us.
