Disability-Competent Care Webinar Series

Posted on February 20, 2018 by Bobbie Guidry

A new Webinar series will explore key concepts of the Disability-Competent Care model and how organizations can best implement these concepts to empower providers and participants with disabilities to best meet their care needs.

The seven-part webinar series is intended to help providers and health care professionals in improving the delivery of care to persons with disabilities. Individuals with disabilities enrolled in both Medicare and Medicaid are at higher risk for poor health outcomes when compared to individuals without disabilities.

  2. Serving Adults with Disabilities on the Autism Spectrum - Feb. 28 from 2-3 p.m. (EST)
  3. Palliative and Hospice Care for Adults with Disabilities - March 7 from 2-3 p.m. (EST)
  4. Supporting Participants with Complex Behavioral Health Needs - March 14 from 2-3 p.m. (EST)
  5. Interdisciplinary Team Building, Management & Communication - March 21 from 2-3 p.m. (EST)
  6. Managing Transitions with Adults with Disabilities - March 28 from 2-3 p.m. (EST)
  7. Building Partnerships: Health Plans & Community-Based Organizations - April 4 from 2-3 p.m. (EST)
