Posted on February 27, 2018 by Jodi Boyne

Emily Timm, Director of Operations, Lifesprk, was recently honored by LeadingAge Minnesota with the Ray Johnson Leadership in Action Award.

The award recognizes a leader in older adult services who has provided excellent leadership to their staff and organization, enhances the quality of life for the residents in the community, and provides exceptional community service.

“Emily Timm is committed to building relationships that drive positive outcomes for older adults and the people who provide them with care, services and support,” said Gayle Kvenvold, President & CEO, LeadingAge Minnesota.

As Director of Operations for Lifesprk, Timm believes a positive client experience is the product of a robust team working together. She has integrated technology, refined the staffing supervisor role to ensure deeper relationships with clients and helped drive operational objectives by aligning work within the organization and integrating various service lines.

“Emily consistently demonstrates a broad range of leadership skills, including managing strategic and tactical change, enhancing and sparking the lives of clients, mentoring and development staff who began their careers are caregivers and have elevated to staff supervisors, and moonlighting in various departments across the organization to promote and drive integration,” said Sara Wilson, General Manager, Lifesprk.

Timm’s leadership in staff development has helped address and improve staff retention.

“Emily stands out because she listens, inspires and works very hard to make sure our staff has everything we need to do our jobs well and that we have the opportunity and possibility to advance our skills and our careers,” said Ashanti Samuels, Staffing Supervisor, Lifesprk.
