1. What has stood out to you most about the work LeadingAge Minnesota members are doing, and what excites you about helping share their stories?
What’s stood out to me the most about the work our members are doing is how they are solving real, complex challenges while staying focused on improving the quality of life for older adults. Our members lead with their hearts and are always thinking of creative and innovative ways to support residents, families, and staff. I’m excited to share these stories because they deserve to be seen and celebrated. By showcasing the work our members do across the state, our community can learn from one another, feel connected, and see the impact they make every day.
2. In your new role, how do you hope to use communications and digital storytelling to support and elevate our members?
My goal is to use communications to make it easier for members to stay informed, feel supported, and see their community impact being reflected in LeadingAge Minnesota’s work. Through digital storytelling I want to tell member stories that help people understand what’s happening, why it matters, and how to get involved. I also hope to strengthen our digital presence by creating consistent, engaging, member-focused content, while also helping us advance workforce, advocacy, and innovation campaigns across aging services.
3. Outside of work, what’s something that inspires your creativity or helps you stay energized—and how does that influence your work?
Outside of work, I stay energized by getting outside and exploring new places. I love solo camping and hiking trips, attending farmers markets, helping with wedding coordination, and spending time with family and friends. Being in these creative, people-centered environments sparks new ideas and helps keep me grounded in who I am. They’ve also taught me to notice small, meaningful moments and turn everyday experiences into stories that help me connect with the people I meet throughout my life.
