HCBS: 2018 National Core Indicators Survey Begins

Posted on January 23, 2018 by Bobbie Guidry

Older adults and people with disabilities who receive home and community-based services, including adult day services, may be called and invited to participate in an in-person interview for the National Core Indicators – Aging & Disabilities initiative. The calls will begin this week and continue through May.

Minnesota is one of 20 states participating in the initiative. You may receive calls from people who want to verify or confirm this is a real project. People also may call to ask if DHS is implementing this initiative, or they may have other questions about the interview or interviewers, the project generally or how they were identified to be a participant.

Vital Research will conduct the interviews and make the calls. To prepare for questions, familiarize yourself with the Minnesota NCI-DD/AD 2017-18 website hosted by Vital Research that includes a program overview, copies of the letter people may receive, frequently asked questions and pictures of interviewers who may call people to ask permission to interview them.
