LeadingAge Learning Hub offers Free Mental Health Training

A new training to assist staff in supporting and working with residents with mental illness has been added to the LeadingAge learning hub. The training is free for LeadingAge members. 

The training, which mirrors an in-person training, features a series of videos covering the topics featured in a written guide that include: hoarding, depressions, anxiety, dementia, depression vs. dementia, personality disorder, delirium, bipolar disorder, substance abuse, disorder psychosis, paranoia and fixed delusions. 

Also included in the training are role playing examples of situations commonly encountered by staff that can be applied across a variety of aging services settings and a resource guide.
