LeadingAge Minnesota Connects with Attendees at FarmFest
Posted on August 13, 2026 by Jessica Lacher
LeadingAge Minnesota was at FarmFest last week, connecting with attendees and raising awareness about the importance of supporting aging services across Minnesota.
Members of LeadingAge Minnesota’s Community Engagement Work Group joined staff to cover shifts at the booth and talk with attendees about the important role aging services providers play in communities throughout the state. One highlight was hearing from the many FarmFest attendees who shared that they had previously worked in a nursing home, creating meaningful connections and conversations about the people who provide care and services to older Minnesotans.
A special thank you to Community Engagement Work Group members Becky Jenniges (Renville Health Services), Teresa Hildebrandt (Benedictine St. Peter), Virginia Kruse (Align Senior Care Consulting), Griffin Myslivecek, Maddie Schmidt (Prairie Cottages) and Michael Schwertfeger (Prairie Cottages) for spending time at the booth and helping share the aging services story with FarmFest attendees.
LeadingAge Minnesota staff Jessica Lacher, Kari Thurlow, Kayla Khang and Shelli Bakken also participated in the event.
Thank you to everyone who helped make FarmFest a great opportunity to connect with Minnesotans and elevate the importance of aging services in communities across the state!
