MAGIC Releases Updated Standing House Orders for Nursing Homes

The Minnesota Association of Geriatric Inspired Clinicians (MAGIC) completed the 2022 revision to the suggested nursing home standing house orders (SHOs).

Two documents are available on the MAGIC resources website. The first document is the updated 2022 SHOs, and the second is a quick reference document outlining what has changed on the SHO this year. MAGIC provides these SHOs as a guideline or suggestion for organizations. Many nursing home medical directors have SHOs they prefer to use, while others may want something to review, or there may be something on the MAGIC order sheet the medical director may wish to consider.
