MDH Staff Changes

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) recently announced two staff changes: 

Gil Acevedo is transitioning out as assistant commissioner and leaving MDH in October.  

“I am grateful to Gil for his service to MDH and the people of Minnesota. He has provided essential leadership to raise awareness of and successfully respond to the challenges faced by our Office of Health Facility Complaints (OHFC),” said Commissioner Malcolm. “Thanks to Gil’s steady guidance and content expertise, as well as the hard work of the MDH team with support from DHS, OHFC is well positioned to continue building on the improvements made in recent months.” 

MDH also announced that Michelle Larson will serve as the interim Director for the Health Regulation Division through December 2018. She is currently Director of the Office of Medical Cannabis at MDH and will also continue in that role. Michelle can be reached at michelle.larson@state.mn.us.
