We love celebrating the inspiring work of our members at LeadingAge Minnesota, and we’re proud to shine a spotlight on Griswold Twin Cities for their leadership in fostering meaningful intergenerational connections.
Through a thoughtful, year-long pen pal program, Griswold helped build lasting relationships between local seniors and third-grade students in Andover, MN—culminating in a heartwarming in-person gathering earlier this month.

3rd Graders Meet Their Senior Pen Pals at Crooked Lake Elementary
On Wednesday, June 5, nearly 90 third-grade students at Crooked Lake Elementary in Andover met their senior pen pals in person for the very first time. The event was the culmination of a year-long letter exchange between the students and local seniors.
Organized by Griswold Twin Cities Owner Nicole Myhre, the morning was filled with heartwarming moments, as generations came together to share stories, enjoy refreshments, and tour the school. The event highlighted the power of connection across ages, with students proudly showing their senior friends around and forming lasting bonds that extend beyond the classroom.
