Nestled on the scenic shores of Cobblestone Lake, Orchard Path offers a beautiful setting with many opportunities to enjoy an active lifestyle, including walking paths around the lake and vibrant on-site activities for residents. Wellness and life enrichment programs foster good health, vitality and social well-being.
Enhancing a Thriving Community
Jon Fletcher, president and CEO of PHS, reflected on the already vibrant Orchard Path community and how this new expansion will only enhance it. “We are so pleased to be able to bring another 75 units of independent living to a community that’s typically 99-100% occupied,” he said. “That is just a testament to the livelihood, the community that is already being built here at Orchard Path.”
Orchard Path currently includes 175 independent living apartments, 58 assisted living apartments and 20 memory care apartments. Regardless of housing type, residents experience private apartment living complemented by exceptional services.
Orchard Path is located close to Apple Valley’s shops, restaurants and other exceptional amenities. Clint Hooppaw, the mayor of Apple Valley, was encouraged about the additional housing that gives residents a chance to age in place. “Thanks for being a key piece of making Apple Valley a community where everybody has a spot, and people can stay and grow and age very well right here,” he said.
A Place to Call Home
Sandy Valentine, campus administrator at Orchard Path, said, “We’re thankful for everyone who has been able to bring this to life: for our PHS leadership team that had the vision to get it going, for the finance team who has faith in what we’re doing and also for the team that is going to be working and helping us create memories for all who call Orchard Path their home.”
Construction project partners include Fendler Patterson Construction, Pope Design Group, Piper Sandler, the city of Apple Valley and Dakota County and Senior Housing Partners, which is the development arm of PHS.
Fletcher concluded the groundbreaking ceremony: “...let us remember that our ultimate purpose is not merely bricks and mortar but to honor God by enriching the lives and touching the hearts of older adults — one resident, one family member, one staff member at a time.”
Orchard Path is part of the renowned PHS family, a pioneer in faith-based senior living.
