Public Comment Period on ADS Participant Age Eligibility

As part of the DHS Waiver Reimagine project, DHS has requested public comments on Summer 2020 federal waiver plan amendments before they are submitted to the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for approval. These amendments apply to the following waivers:

• Brain Injury (BI)
• Community Access for Disability Inclusion (CADI)
• Community Alternative Care (CAC)
• Developmental Disability (DD)

Of note in the amendments is a change to the eligibility requirements for Adult Day Services participants, specifically limiting clients new to Adult Day Services to individuals who are over the age of 55. Providers are encouraged to submit comments regarding this proposed requirement.  Comments can be emailed to DSD.PublicComments@state.mn.us and are due no later than 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24, 2020.
