The 2018 Day at the Capitol will be held on March 28 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Join your fellow members and be an advocate for those you serve and their caregivers. REGISTER TODAY! 

This year, policymakers are committed to broad, systemic changes to ensure Minnesota seniors are cared for with the compassion, dignity, and respect they deserve. At the LeadingAge Minnesota Day at the Capitol, you have an opportunity to be a part of that conversation and shape new policies that could impact the kinds of care seniors have access to in the communities they call home. 

Join us at the Capitol to show lawmakers that we are committed partners in our shared goal to assure access to safe, quality care for older Minnesotans in the communities they call home. 

Here’s an overview of what you can expect at this year’s Day at the Capitol:

• Your day will start at the Wilder Center (451 Lexington Parkway North, St. Paul, MN) with an overview of the 2018 legislative session. In the briefing, you will be given all the tools you need to become an effective advocate for seniors and their caregivers.
• We will be joined by political consultant Todd Rapp, who will provide a general overview of the legislative session and tell you more about the Face Aging Minnesota campaign. The LeadingAge Minnesota public affairs team will also be on hand to update members on this year’s legislative priorities.
• Once you’re armed with the information you need, we will provide transportation to the Capitol complex where you’ll meet with your lawmakers. We take care of all the details, including scheduling your meetings with your elected officials.

Plus, we will provide a light breakfast and lunch for you at the Wilder before you head to your meetings at the Capitol. 

All you have to do is REGISTER and we’ll take care of the details. 

Staff, residents, volunteers and board members are all encouraged to attend Day at the Capitol, so please feel free to share this invitation with others.
