Registration Open for Assisted Living Director Licensure Course
On June 30, 2021 by Heidi Simpson
LeadingAge Minnesota’s highly anticipated Assisted Living Director Licensing Course begins on July 15 with orientation and its first course on July 27. It is now open for registration.
This two-part course meets the educational requirements for individuals preparing to become licensed assisted living directors (LALD) in Minnesota and is designed to help prepare for the licensure exams. This course is for individuals who are not eligible to be licensed under the LALD legacy pathways, including those permitted as Assisted Living Directors in Residence (ALDIR), people currently working in older adult services settings, and anyone interested in becoming a Licensed Assisted Living Director.
The course is entirely virtual, from July 15 through Jan. 13, 2022, with additional courses taken as an independent study at an individual's own pace. It includes 20 course modules of Minnesota-specific subjects taught by a team of 31 expert faculty and courses in the core curriculum on topics necessary to perform LALD duties. The core course is online and will be accessible to those registered this coming fall.
