In 2024, over 1,000 OnTrack nursing assistants attempted the state exam to be placed on the Minnesota Nurse Aide Registry. OnTrack learners’ pass rates continue to surpass the state average.
Last year, approximately 1 in 10 candidates who attempted the state nurse aide exam in Minnesota were trained with OnTrack—the innovative and on-demand nurse aide training program, created by the LeadingAge Minnesota Foundation and powered by our partners at EduCare.
In 2024, OnTrack learners once again excelled on the written knowledge portion of the exam—with an 87.5% average first-attempt pass rate, exceeding the statewide average of approximately 83%.
Across all programs, the overall pass rates for the skills portion of the exam increased. In the first quarter of 2023, the statewide average for first attempt pass rates for the skills test was approximately 76%, with OnTrack programs exceeding this average by 3%. In 2024, the statewide average for the skills test increased to over 80%, which OnTrack students continue to surpass with an average pass rate of 81.25%.
